How does it work?

Hostmatic Now works by streaming the video feed from our powerfull servers to your client. Think of it like Netflix but for games!

Which size is right for me?

For casual gamers who plays between 6-12 hours monthly, we recommend our CloudPro series.
For demanding gamers that play between 12-30 hours a month we recommend our CloudUltra series.

How is Hostmatic Now different from other game streaming services?

We utilize public cloud resources, so we are not prone to limited geography or aging hardware compared to others.

We allow users full access to their machines and any game that they may own. We use open-source streaming technologies, and encourage users to tweak streaming settings / mod their games as they see fit.

We are a single team with the goal of building an awesome cloud gaming solution for the tech enthusiasts and casual players

Who can use the service?

Hostmatic Now is available globally.

Where are the servers located?

We use servers located in Sweden, with plans to expand to US. If you want a machine in US, please open a ticket

When is my Cloud Gaming PC ready?

Usually about 10-15 minutes after payment has completed.

Requirements

What connection do I need to stream games?

A cabled 10 mbps connection is recommended for the best experience. On wireless device, users can lower the resolution and bandwidth according to their network and desired performance.

What devices are capable?

Any device that supports the Moonlight game stream client

Games

Can I install my own games?

Yes, you have full control over the PC and can install any games you own. Be it from Steam, GOG, Epic, Rockstar or Battle.net

Are all games compatible?

Our Cloud Gaming PC's support the latest DirectX 12, Vulkan and OpenGL graphics libraries, allowing for playback of almost all games, with the exception of titles where DRM protection prevents execution on virtual machines, such as League of Legends.

Are my save games and game files saved?

Games handled by Steam Cloud Save etc. are.

DayPass machines are only available for a limited time, after that, your data is deleted.
For games that does not support a cloud save game feature, you must manually backup savegame data prior to playtime exipiration.

For Subscription users your data is saved.

Are download speeds fast on Hostmatic Now?

Yes, you can expect download speed between 1-2 gbps if downloading to the local NVME D:\ drive

Subscription

Can i cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, however you will be billed for your subscription for the rest of the month including both spent playtime and costs such as disk.

Cancellation is done by submitting a ticket

What is the difference between a DayPass and a Subscription?

DayPass are temporary access to a cloud gaming machine with no commitment. After ended playtime, the machine and it's data will be deleted.

Subscription are billed based on recurring monthly usage, including costs for harddisks.

How do i add additional storage?

Please submit a ticket. We are working towards and automatic solution.

Additional storage is only available to subscription users.

Usage

How do i power on / off my Cloud Gaming PC?

If you create an account with the same email used for ordering, you can start / shutdown / restart your cloud pc from our dashboard.

What happens if i forget to turn of my Cloud Gaming PC?

You will be billed based on the duration your Cloud Gaming PC is active.

To prevent excessive cost usage, we have implemented an idle state condition.
Your Cloud Gaming PC will automatically shut down after 1 hour of inactivity.

Please note that this feature is not guaranteed to work under all circumstances.
Always shut down your Cloud Gaming PC through our dashboard, rather than using the Windows shutdown button, to ensure proper deallocation of your machine.

How do i change my Cloud Gaming PC hardware size?

Please contact support for change of hardware size.

Security

Is Hostmatic Now secure?

Yes, we utilize SSL / TLS encryption on all services, both when interacting with our websites, ordering a computer, and when streaming from you cloud gaming pc to your client device.

All Cloud Gaming machines are private, and completley isolated from eachother.

Why do i get an SSL warning when pairing to my machine for the first time?

We use Sunshine as our streaming backend, which by default uses an self-signed certificate.

The connection is encrypted and secure.
it's just not signed with a public certificate, so it behaves the same way as if you were to install it yourself as outlined here

Can Hostmatic Now see what i am doing?
